Deferred Sentence

At the end of the period of deferment and before sentence, the Court would receive a report on the restorative justice process and its outcomes, and would take this into consideration, along with other factors, in determining the sentence.

Whilst there have been several test cases, no agency in Scotland has yet been funded to deliver a service using this approach.  However, cases can be referred to Sacro's Restorative Justice (Adult) Services on a pro rata basis.
